June 03, 2021GILFORD The Newfound track coaches, just a few minutes after their team had been named the Division III runners-up, were a little surprised to realize that the team had reached its second place finish without a single individual win on the day.
It was a total team effort across the board that led the Bears to their banner on Tuesday, May 25, as they scored points in seven different events on the way to finishing second to a very strong Hopkinton team.

June 03, 2021GILFORD On Tuesday, May 25, the weather was just right for the girls D-III State Championship meet. New this year was girls and boy s teams competing on different days due to COVID-19. In order to compete at states, an athlete must qualify at a meet earlier in the season. Only two Spartan girls qualified this year, Abby Friedman and thrower Isis Kelm.
The highlight of the meet was when Friedman took the state championshipo in pole vault. clearing eight feet. Friedman placed third in the high jump, clearing four feet, 10 inches.

The Government approved on Thursday the allocation of additional budget resources needed to organize three international sports competitions in Romania, the Ministry of Youth and Sports showed in a press release. The world of sports enjoys new good news, as a result of approval in the government meeting today of decisions too allocate additional budget resources for the organization of three major international sports competitions, all of them to be held in Romania for the first time. Thus, the government approved to supplement the budget of the Ministry of Youth and Sports from the budget reserve fund at its disposal, set out in the state budget for 2021, with a total amount of 10,375 thousand lei, said the same source.

June 03, 2021FRANKLIN HealthFirst Family Care Center is pleased to announce that Kelley Watkins, APRN, is joining its team and is now accepting new patients.
Watkins received her Master of Science degree from the University of NH and became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2014. She has a deep passion for and will be working primarily within HealthFirst s Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment programs. She strongly believes in taking a whole-person approach to recovery. She has worked extensively with elderly patients from the Medicare population, acute and long-term care of individuals with disabilities and/or complex chronic conditions, children and adults with comprehensive health maintenance, and adolescent and young adult care. Additionally, she is certified to perform DOT physicals for companies/individuals in need.
